I was an internal candidate and had to go through about six rounds of interviews to be moved from basically an assistant buyer position to a senior buyer position. It was grueling and a bit excessive.

Application
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arrow Electronics (Englewood, CO) in Aug 2011
Interview
This process was typical of any large company going through the hiring process. There are several interviews, a background check as well as a drug test to enter the company. It is not difficult, but can be time consuming.
Thanks for sharing about your interview with Arrow in August 2011. Even though it's been awhile since you joined, we trust you're doing well and are glad you're here!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Arrow Electronics (Lisbon, Lisbon District) in Jan 2010
Interview
I've been selected from an head-hunter office. Explain me about the project, ask me if I'm interested in a new opportunity on my market. I've fullfilled an skill test and then ocurrs one nice interview where I couls understand the project and ( I think ) they understand my carreer and pretensions. It seems that they don't have head-count for that project.
Thanks for sharing your interview experience at Arrow. Even though it sounds like this role wasn't a tight fit, we have many opportunities, and should you see another one that you feel matches well with you skill set, we'd encourage you to apply again.
