Array (NY) Senior Systems Engineer interview questions

Went through two rounds of interviews. The first round was with a recruiter who didn’t tell me how he planned to contact me and ended up calling me late. When I finally got in touch with him, his response was, “I like to keep people on their toes.” Great start. The second round was with the hiring manager. We went over the usual topics: tech stack, team culture, and how their ceremonies are structured. Then, out of nowhere, he throws a super vague error at me and expects a flawless solution on the spot. No context, no background, just dropped it on me like a surprise pop quiz. When it became obvious I wasn’t going to pull a miracle answer out of thin air, his attitude shifted. The interview wrapped up soon after, and I never heard back. Not even a courtesy follow up. Appreciate the waste of time. Seems like a fantastic place to work.
