      Graduate Engineer Interview

      25 Feb 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arm in Jan 2024

      Interview

I applied for the Graduate Software Engineer (GPU) role. There were 2 phases in the interview process. The first phase was answering pre-recorded HireView questions and a pretty standard online technical coding challenge. The second round was a technical screening round with one of the Senior Engineers. They discussed some of my past projects, asked some low-level system-related questions (pointer manipulation, call stacks, OS memory management, etc.), and gave me one coding challenge. After the interview, I was informed that the recruiter would reach out to me within 2 weeks with positive/negative news. But even after almost 2 months, I haven't yet heard back from my designated recruiter or anyone else from the company. I have sent multiple emails to the recruiter as well as to the mail address provided on their career website - all of which have gone unanswered. The status of my application on their career website is still showing "under review". My overall experience with the interview process was extremely disappointing, to say the least. I think the recruitment team at Arm should learn to have some respect for the time candidates spend interviewing with them and at least have the decency to get back to them with some answers within a reasonable amount of time instead of completely ignoring their queries. This level of unprofessionalism is not at all acceptable from such a top-tier company.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry about the experience you’ve had during our recruitment process. We work hard to ensure that every applicant has a positive experience – which includes keeping them informed about the status of their application – but clearly we fell short this time. I’d appreciate the opportunity to investigate what happened with your application – please contact the team at globalrecruitmentenquiries@arm.com with more details.
