The morning of the interview I woke up to about 5 emails from the interviewer who thought our meeting was at 10am CET even though I had scheduled it for 10am EST through a Calendly link (Calendly automatically handles time zone differences). When I got on the call, the interviewer apologized for the mixup and told me about the company and that he was an HR intern. He proceeded to ask me two questions that did not do much in terms of evaluating whether I would be a good fit for the role: "Tell me about yourself." and "What do you want to do with data?" I found the second question extremely vague and random. Then he asked me if I had any questions. I rattled off questions that I had prepared about the team and specifics about the project work that the job description listed and he couldn't answer any of them. That was it, he didn't ask me any salient questions that I could have bombed, and there was nothing that should have resulted in me not passing a screening interview. Since then, I've sent three follow up emails thanking the interviewer and asking for updates to which I still have not received a reply. I even tried reaching out to other HR reps from his company via LinkedIn, but I was also ghosted there. I understand the job market is oversaturated right now, but that doesn't mean that job seekers are just bait to be thrown to interns to practice on. Verkor sent an unprepared and unprofessional intern to interview for an actual role. That's the way they want to represent their company in front of talent?
