Was sent three different emails for the scheduling of the interview, due to errors with scheduling on their part.
Once I interviewed, it was a pretty common interview with 4 people on Google hangouts. They went through the typical questions you would expect. I was surprised they didn't ask me to speak over any given language, or even PowerShell in relation to the usage of Azure because of a creater/developer rather than an administrator, given the impression they gave I would be creating new rather than administration of in place technology.
Beyond that, there was one obvious red flag raised when they gave me a reason for why the position was open. Yeah, a government employee sure thought they could work out of the country remotely... I was taken aback as soon as I heard this, as it confirmed for me this company has no real need for this position, especially as they could not give specifics for any specific issue that needed resolving.
I felt like my time was wasted during the ~ over 30 minute long grueling process with the panel of interviewers, especially when they said they would get back to me a couple of weeks ago. I sent them the thank you letter and am looking at the clock as you read this, waiting, hoping to see that rejection email at least. Well, they probably don't have a bot for that, and it might cost them 30 minutes of work to come up with it...
