There was no interview process because the recruiter didn't even show up. First of all, I was not told if it was a video or phone call. We had a scheduled time and she called me 4 minutes early when I was away from my desk getting water to prepare for the interview. I then return to my desk 2 minutes early waiting for an email with a video link, as most employers do a video call for interviews. Right as our scheduled time starts, I email her for a video link or if the interview is a different format - NO RESPONSE. I then see that she called me and said in the voicemail that she was 4 minutes early and would try again. I wait another minute for this "try again" - NO RESPONSE. I then start calling her back to back - NO RESPONSE. A full 14-15 minutes pass from her initial phone call and she rejected my last call attempt and then emails me that she just got back to her desk to missed calls from me. She canceled the interview because I had called her. If you know we have a scheduled meeting time: why are you calling me 4 minutes ahead of time? Why did you say you would try again but then didn't? Why were you away from your desk for 10-15 minutes in the first place? Why are you canceling our interview just because I tried returning your phone call a few times when you never tried to call again nor responded to my email because you were away from your desk the entire time? The entire process and specifically, her cancelation email, was extremely disrespectful and I felt like I was being gaslit into thinking it was my fault when she just called early and walked away from her desk. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.
