      Talent Agent Interview

      11 Sept 2015
      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aquent (New York, NY) in May 2015

      Interview

I first did a phone screen with the Regional Director. She then brought me in to meet with the entire team (consisted of 12 people). I would be speaking with 3-4 people at a time, went through 3 different rounds of people coming in and out.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They provided me a paragraph of information regarding a job. They asked me out of the information provided, what top 3 things were missing/most important to ask for in order to find the right talent.

      Talent Agent Interview

      1 Mar 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Aquent

      Interview

There a number of steps in the interview process. The first is a phone screen with their HR department, followed by a second phone interview with the companies regional manager. If you pass to the next level, you are brought in for an in person interview followed by a phone interview with Vitamin Ts CEO. While the process was overall okay, one thing Vitamin T will ask in the interview process (in my case, in the in person interview) is whether or not you would be willing to work in their offices for a week for no salary (this is especially true for people who have sales experience, but not necessarily in the recruitment industry). Immediately upon hearing this and refusing to accommodate their request, I was subsequently denied any additional interviews from the company.

      Question 1

Would you be willing to give the industry a try by working in the office for a week?

Hello there! I'm the president of Vitamin T, and I'm surprised to hear that anyone at our organization would ask you to work (anywhere at all!) for free. That is absolutely not our practice, so if you don't mind, I'd like to talk to you to understand what went wrong here. I can be reached at 323 475 7374 or shall@vitamintalent.com Thank you for taking the time to share your experience here. Susie Hall President, Vitamin T

      Talent Agent Interview

      29 May 2013
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aquent (San Francisco, CA) in May 2013

      Interview

One of the most important things to note is this is a lengthy interview process. They are definitely looking for candidates who sincerely want to be a part of this company. Some advice: Do your research...a LOT of it! They will expect you to define what you think this position entails, what the company specifically does, who the key leaders are, and why you want to be there. Best places to look for this is by spending a couple hours reading through the company blog and connecting with their management on Linkedin. Interview process started with a phone call from a hiring regional manager. Which then led to an application and a company culture quiz. Application was lengthy and required a lot of examples of how you handled situations in your past jobs. This is essentially an essay and requires a lot of thought. Also used a personality quiz that you took online (this was interesting, as it defined how your personality translates into your work personality). Then another call, and in-person interview, and a trial "job" to go out and find talent for an order.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Lots of examples of how you handled past situations. Like "give me an example of how you overcame an obstacle in the workplace" or "Provide an example of conflict and how you successfully resolved it" or "Give an example of how you used teamwork to create a solution."
