Applied online for the available position and the recruiter reached out to get more information about my background and scheduled a technical screening with an engineer. The Technical screening was horrible. The interviewer kept joining in and out of the call due to connection issues, had constant background sounds and was unresponsive to questions I asked. Also, he kept looking down at his phone throughout the interview. There were no preliminary questions asked, the interviewer jumped straight into a coding question. After 30 minutes, he said the equivalent of "time's up" and moved on to a design problem. At this point another interviewer had jumped onto the call randomly. In another 10 min, the first interviewer said that he was having technical difficulties with the call and dropped off. Spent the rest of the interview speaking with the other interviewer which was a much more pleasant experience. The first interviewer (the hiring manager) was a very rude person. I feel like I dodged a bullet because he would have made a pretty horrible boss.
