      Application

      I interviewed at Anheuser-Busch InBev

      Interview

Applied directly through AbInBev only to have my CV fall in the hands of an external HR consultant from Randstad who had 0 knowledge on the technical aspect of the role and was even a junior for the recruiter position he was holding. The guy e-mailed me two Harver tests to do (which had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the position I was applying for) as prerequisite to move to the next step, then he proposed an online interview. In the online interview he threw the questions at me to answer them while he was probably recording the interview and putting timestamps at the beginning of each answer in the video. He told me that the salary for the position was 3100 euro, and said that salary scales have to be respected, asked me if I accepted that salary scale and I gave an affirmative answer. I had no room for asking him technical questions about the role because, of course, the guy is completely ignorant on the matter. One week after, the external HR consultant told me that I had an extremely solid profile for the position, that I had given a very good impression and, BECAUSE OF THAT I WAS OVERQUALIFIED AND THEY WOULD PROCEED WITH A DIFFERENT CANDIDATE. I kid you not! It is a freaking joke. It is like a teacher telling you "Mr. Smith, you aced the test and got 100% of the answers right. Because of that you got an F and we expelled you from our school". What makes it even worse is that no one on the recruitment process said "hey, this guy is solid, let's see if we can put him in position with a compensation package that fits his credentials". I will not put all the blame on Randstad's recruiter, but if your recruitment process leads to this, you need to nuke both HR and Randstad out of your premises IMMEDIATELY.
