I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amica Senior Lifestyles (Unionville, ON) in Jan 2025
Interview
Simple, asked about your background and related experience, and also some scenrio questions. Expectations on salary and shift sessions were asked as well. In general, being humble and sincere are good enough and remember to show your calmness whenever they ask you.

Question 1
What is your previous experience relating to this job?
I applied online. I interviewed at Amica Senior Lifestyles (Barrie, ON) in Jun 2020
Interview
Unprofessional. The job description was vague, but since it was labeled at Concierge I figured it would be primarily administrative. The recruiter was late to phone, which was a bad first impression. He asked about my availability, and then asked why I was interested in this position. When I tied my administrative experience into my answer, he said "Well, you do understand this position is light in administrative work, right?" Not sure how I was supposed to gather that based on the information provided, so I asked him to elaborate and it turns out the job was to basically do whatever you're told - housekeeping one day, serving meals the next, maybe you'll have a chance to assist the concierges but since the department is already staffed there's really no need. By the end of the conversation I felt their goal was to essentially guilt people into taking this position after they applied. I declined to proceed with the process. Note to the HR team: "contract employment" is fixed-term employment, it does not mean general labour. Be more up-front with your hiring practices.
