Had an initial phone screen and then was told the hiring manager would reach out soon. Was then ghosted for over a month only to receive an email saying the position had been cancelled.

Interview
Simple HR phone screen, basically confirmed that my skills and background were up to date on my resume and wanted to know if I was able to relocate. Was pretty quick.

Interview
I had a phone screen with a recruiter where they asked basic questions regarding salary requirements, location, what I was looking for. They genuinely seemed interested in what I was looking for and to see if it was a good match. This was followed up by a phone panel interview which was very professional but laid back in a good way. It felt more like a discussion of my qualifications and how it aligned with what the company was looking for. It seemed that I may be over-qualified for the position but they were interested in my skill set and what I brought to the table and told me they would speak with the recruiter and she would be back in touch with me in a few days. Within a few days, I heard from the recruiter who stated that while I was over-qualified for that position and they did not think met my salary requirements (the top end of that salary would have been the bottom end of what I would have been able to take) that they would like to take a week or two to get back to me with more information. A week and a half later I was again contacted by the recruiter and was told they would like me to come on-site and meet with the team to discuss what they had in mind. I met with the team and it was very comfortable, I was shown the org chart and was told about where they thought my strengths would be a benefit to the company and asked if that was something I would consider taking on. I was fine with that. Two weeks later I received a great offer (contingent upon an interim clearance) and was onboarded within a month of that (completely understandable due to the clearance which is out of their control).
