      Management Training Program Interview

      26 Oct 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at American Woodmark in Oct 2012

      Interview

This was a very laid back process for me. It started with a discussion with a company representative at a career fair at my school. During this discussion, I was signed up for an on campus interview a few days later. This interview was about 40 minutes long with 2 representatives from American Woodmark (a hiring director and a former graduate of the management training program). It was much more laid back then I expect interviews to be. A few weeks later, I was contacted about going to one of their locations for a plant tour and a second interview. The day started off with a 45 minute plant tour with one other interviewee and a company employee. Next came another 45 minute interview with 2 company employees (also fairly laid back; very similar to the first interview). Finally, you join back up with the other interviewee that you did the plant tour with and you talk to 2 more company employees (the hiring manager again and another management training program graduate) for about 45 minutes. This is a mostly informative discussion and opportunity for you and the other interviewee to ask questions.
