I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at American Income Life (Minneapolis, MN) in Feb 2015
Interview
This was my process:
1. I got a call from the recruiter setting up a 1:1 interview
2. I arrive at the 1:1 interview with a waiting room full of candidates - the receptionist asks for my resume in exchange for a clipboard and pen which asks questions about yourself i.e. where do you see yourself in five years, what are your best qualities, etc.
2a. I meet with "brad" in "Scott's" office (why are they swapping? Why didn't this guy have his own office? I notice so many details sometimes) I was asked about my past work experience and leadership skills. He talks about the qualities they are looking for (not so much the job itself - that's the first red flag, folks) in a candidate.
2b. I "pass" the 1:1 interview and am immediately asked to come back for a group interview with the regional manager who will explain more about the company. Brad also advises me to "ask a lot of questions" so I "stand out better" and that this presentation should only take an hour.
3. I attend the group interview in which the regional manager shares his story and why AIL is so great and shows some testimonial videos - which take up over an hour and a half (2 candidates got up and left after 45-60 minutes - I kid you not)
3a I am invited for another 1:1 with brad who asks me if I am comfortable with the insurance license requirements - this was not mentioned in steps 1 or 2 - and that I have some time to consider it.
4 I don't hear from anyone either way.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What leadership experience do you have? what interests you about this role?
The interview went well, I'm just looking for insight on what I'll be walking into starting this job. I had to add a review to be able to see others reviews, I will update as soon as I start.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview questions are the basic questions like past employment, hours willing to work, just stuff like that.
I applied online. I interviewed at American Income Life (Bluffdale, UT)
Interview
Virtual group interview with about 11 people. They gave a breakdown of what would be required (An insurance license) and what we could expect. There is no base salary and each sale is estimated to average $500

Question 1
can you register for the licensing course today or tomorrow
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at American Income Life (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2023
Interview
Process was disjointed and inconclusive. Zoom - 3 total. 1st- basic meet-greet. 2nd- a company promo video you watch alone mostly about an annual convention in a tropical location: nothing specific about the job. 3rd- "Host is in another meeting," waited 20 mins and left, so it never happened.

Question 1
There wasn't a real interview. Never got to find out about the agency or the actual position. If it's that disorganized and disrespectful from the get-go, I want nothing to do with it.
