      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at American Income Life (Londonderry, NH) in Oct 2014

      Interview

So when I got there, I was asked to answer fairly standard Y/N questions while I was waiting to speak to a hiring manager. It was all simple stuff, basically confirming you aren't wanted by the law for a series of felonies. So it was explained to me that the interview would be in three parts, first a little one on one, then someone would talk a little bit about the company, and then the third part was for fielding questions, and reviewing a personality test that you take while in the second part. After a very standard, and very brief first interview, I was brought into a conference room that had about or 8 other people besides me. We were then encouraged to take notes, while a very long, very detailed overview of the company was explained, which contained the entire history of the company, a few asides that were the personal stories of the rep, a breakdown of the pay structure, advancement structure, etc. It was then that you would be called back in to speak to the person you had originally interviewed with, and I was directly asked how much I wanted to work there. I answered that I was confused, because I was told this was a customer service position, but I pieced together that it was a bait and switch well before this point, and was feigning ignorance somewhat. It was told to me that the term "customer service" was used very loosely, and I told them that because of they obviously were misleading, I didn't trust the company, especially an insurance company, that would use false pretenses immediately. The manager seemed to understand, and that was it.

      Interview

I waited online for an Zoom interview to start for 15 minutes after confirming the time with the company that morning. No one ever joined the meeting and no response from the company. Was very disappointed as time is valuable.

      Interview

A sales pitch to me about free cruises and bonuses. Seemed like a multilevel marketing scam. It was much more about them than me. And they seemed to be willing to take on anyone. All commission based so they don't care.
