      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at American Income Life (Indianapolis, IN) in Mar 2018

      Interview

I received a call that they had seen my resume and wanted to talk. I called to see what they were interested in. They falsified who they were on the phone call saying they were with the Taylor group, leaving out that it was American income life- the Taylor group. Seeing as the Taylor group is a very large international company and is what comes up when you look up the Taylor group on Google, certainly seems quite shady. When I called in they wanted me to come into an interview the next day at 0930, I work from 1000-1330 doing gigs to pay my bills so that wasn't possible, I asked for other times, they "politely" informed me the only time they were doing interviews was Tuesday and Thursday of this week from 0930-1000, I said that seemed like a short time for a set of interviews especially for a management position and was informed that was it, take it or leave it, and if my schedule changed fine, but otherwise goodbye and they hung up. They are doing mass interviews in 30 minutes, using a different company's name as their contact information. Be VERY careful when responding to requests for an interview here. Hit numerous red flags. 1.) false name: Technically gave part of their name but it definitely is meant to make you think it is a different very large international company. 2.) Very short interview time: 30 minutes for a management position is ridiculously short, clearly they don't care about quality employees. 3.) Only two interview times a week, only for one week: Mass interviews in a 30 minute period, this is insane, obviously they don't care who works there, just as long as they can get you in and get you working. Probably 1099 positions and full training??? Yeah right. 4.) Overly general claims: We are the main group working with all the unions, the police, the firefighters, and all the others. Really? working with them to do what? No explanation, when asked the only answer was benefits. Clearly a Multi Level Marketing job! Run AWAY!!! RUN AWAY FAST!!! Waste of your time, and probably money.

      Interview

This is a scam. Was contacted through ZipRecruiter under the guise of a company called Verb. The first "interview" is a MLM webinar video with 15+ other people. The job title of Benefits Manager wasn't even mentioned. It's a MLM sales position. Beware. I dropped out as soon as I realized what this was.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at American Income Life (Houston, TX) in Aug 2020

      Interview

Applied for Benefits Manager position. Received a request for a Zoom Interview, not too unusual in today's world. Logged in at requested time, and noticed it didn't look like a regular Zoom. I couldn't see myself, and wasn't able to locate the microphone. This guy came on and explained that this was their best platform for interviews, and started talking about the company. He referred to me in plural pronouns, which told me that there were several people on the Zoom I couldn't see. It quickly became apparent that this was not a Benefit Manager position, but a commissioned insurance sales job. This is a SCAM. I politely reached out to the first person who contacted me, and professionally expressed my displeasure with the experience. They sent back a nasty response, which just shows the level of professionalism at which the company operates.
