I recently interviewed for a role at AMEX, and my experience was disappointing due to the unprofessional conduct of the HR representative, Aditi Wadhwa from the Gurgaon office.
With 10 plus years of experience in operations, I have participated in numerous interviews, both as a candidate and as an evaluator. However, this particular interaction stood out for all the wrong reasons. While she spoke about AMEX’s culture, her own approach was completely misaligned with the values she claimed to uphold. The interview was rushed and concluded in just 10 minutes, leaving no room for meaningful discussion about my role, responsibilities, or fit for the organization.
As someone with significant industry experience, I find it unacceptable that a representative with such a dismissive attitude is entrusted with assessing candidates. Her lack of professionalism, coupled with an air of superiority, makes me question how she is fit to evaluate others on cultural and professional grounds.
I urge AMEX’s leadership to reassess the qualities and conduct of their HR team. A hiring process should be fair, respectful, and reflective of the company’s true culture. Candidates invest their time and effort in these opportunities, and they deserve an evaluation process that is both professional and thorough.
