      21 Oct 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Tempe, AZ
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at American Express (Tempe, AZ) in Oct 2013

      Interview

first round of interviews is 90 minutes with two people (45 mins each). Mostly behavioral questions, some technical, and some situational. The nice thing is that the next day they call you, regardless if you have made it to the second round of interviews or not. The interviewers are friendly and will talk to you about whatever you want once they ask the required questions.

      Question 1

The technical questions were all programming questions. What does the protected access modifier do? When would you use interface and when would you use inheritance? When calling a method with parameters, are the variables referenced or are the values passed? I can't remember the rest.
