i have applied for a position on LinkedIn, got a phone call from one member of the HR team. We went through the first Interview with HR then I got to the second stage, an accounting test plus an interview with a supervisor (corporate services).
Long story short, I told HR my current salary so I was expecting at least a salary match. I got the job offer and the actual salary was 20000 euro lower than my current one. I was in shock, this is a major HR failure. Who on earth trying to step up would take a 20k paycut, I was furious. After my email explaining Why I would never take a job paying less than my current one (once again, 20000 euro less than my actual salary) i got a slightly better offer, still nothing close to my current salary. I find this a major HR failure for a company of such size. You want to make me a job offer? Go for a salary match! I would like to speak with the HR director. After my email in which i refused the job offer I never got a response from the HR team! Bear in mind, They were offering the Luxembourg MINIMUM WAGE! what a joke! a financial services company of such size offering the minimum wage for a mid to senior role.
