I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Altec Industries in Oct 2016
Interview
One-on-one interview. They asked me a bunch of technical questions but it was more to get a feel of how quickly I learned. I was interviewed by the plant manager, not someone from HR. He was very friendly and didn't make me feel stupid for not knowing the answers to some of my questions. If you bring up things that you have researched make sure to know everything, I knew general accomplishments of the company and when I brought them up he grilled me about the details.

Question 1
How did I build this part? (Showed me a manufactured part)
I applied online. I interviewed at Altec Industries (Roanoke, VA) in Feb 2021
Interview
They asked a good amount of questions and they answered most of mine clearly, especially for the amount that I had. Very friendly during the process. At times it seemed as though they didn’t have the answers to all my question but they were able to get it in some way.
We met at the career fair and met for an interview soon after. It was very personable. I just answered like it was a normal conversation and it went great. Just try to get as much information out of the interview process as you can. There is a lot to learn about this company and it is important to ask questions.

Question 1
What do you want to get out of your experience with us?
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Altec Industries (Creedmoor, NC) in Oct 2019
Interview
The interview was fairly long (~3 hours) with multiple groups of engineers. I had a good conversation with them and could only really talk about my hobbies and what made me interested in mechanical engineering since I had no prior work experience. I was also taken on a plant tour which was very interesting.
