I recently had an interview experience with Alpha Omega for an Information Security Engineer role, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. While the recruiter and hiring manager were pleasant during the interview process, there were significant issues that left me dissatisfied and feeling like my time was wasted. Within a surprisingly short span of one week, I completed the interviews and received a job offer. However, the initial excitement quickly turned into frustration when the written offer arrived two days later than promised. This delay immediately put me on edge and signaled potential issues with communication and organization within the company. To make matters worse, the offer arrived on a Friday afternoon, just before a holiday weekend, and with a tight deadline for the following Monday. This timeframe left me with no opportunity to negotiate or seek clarification on certain terms. Despite reaching out to HR and the recruiter via email, there was no response on the holiday Monday, leaving me in a state of uncertainty. I persisted and contacted the recruiter, but unfortunately, they repeatedly kept delaying my inquiries for two weeks. The lack of responsiveness and clarity during this crucial period was highly unprofessional and frustrating. Finally, after weeks of waiting, the company disclosed that they had drastically cut down the salary from the initial offer, which was deeply disappointing and unexpected. Overall, this experience with the company for the Information Security Engineer role was marked by poor communication, delays, unmet promises, and lack of transparency. It was disheartening to see such a potential opportunity tarnished by these issues, and it ultimately left me with a negative impression of the company's hiring process and organizational practices.
