Interview
Was relatively easy, there's a lot of information about the process online that helped me prepare for each step of the interview. The members of AllState are friendly and help you along at each point so that even if you don't know an answer you can show how you're thinking which is more important to them.
It was a 3 interview Process: A phone screening, a technical interview, and a 3-hour interview including a behavioral interview, a technical interview, and a case study.

How would you write a function that adds a string of integers together? For example input is 12 so it should add 1 +2 + 12 to equal 15

Interview
Round 1: The interview went on for more than 1.5 hours as the interviewer asked questions from all possible topics from ML & NLP. Round 2: Two managers took this round where they focused on predictive analytics and one use case. Round 3: This interview was scheduled for 2 hours where 1 hour was dedicated to coding and 1 hour for use case solution design.We discussed the use case given by the interviewers. In coding I was able to solve 1 coding question and explained logic fr the other but wasn’t selected for further rounds

Question 1
A lot of questions from all possible topics in ML & NLP. Coding questions of intermediate level.
The interview process was supposed to be the same as the previous posts described. Three turns total:
1. A phone screening with a bot: all behavior questions. They gave me 48 hours to finish the process after sending me the email.
2. Technical phone interview with two data scientists. They asked about my recent project and some difficulties I encountered. One fairly simple coding problem and a case study about the fuel efficiency of ship transportation.
3. This is a depressing one. I was scheduled for a third interview but had it canceled several days ahead. Then recently HR contacted me that the interview is not going to happen and they will not move further on my application. This was supposed to be the last turn of the interview and I was quite excited about it. I understand that this is an unusual time, but I can't help feeling frustrated. I hope this won't happen to future applicants.

Question 1
Find a pair of numbers in a list that sums up to a target value.
For the case study, describe some data preprocessing techniques. How do you deal with categorical variables with many levels? How would you go about dealing with missing data? How do you evaluate your model? Some other questions will depend on your response during the interview.
