I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Allstate (North Chicago, IL) in Oct 2010
Interview
It was on campus interview. There were two representatives present and they asked questions about your resume and field experience. Then they ask you problem solving type of questions to see your problem solving skills. You didn't necessarily had to get the right answer but they wanted you to think out loud. Basically you had to say every step that you're thinking.
I applied online. I interviewed at Allstate (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2026
Interview
The first round was easy with the recruiter, just some questions about your experience. The second round was also smooth, just questions specific to the internship and some behavioral. The interview team was young but explained everything pretty well.

Question 1
What is one skill you learned from an experience and applied it to another experience?
It was good. In my process I did a hirevue and after the screening was invited for an interview with two employees. An hour long interview and that was the final round.
Common interview questions include your background, strengths, weaknesses, and achievements. Be prepared to discuss teamwork, problem-solving, leadership experiences, and your motivation for joining the company. "Describe your background and experience relevant to this role.
