4 hour long process with a behavioral, coding, and case study with 1 hour hour session for each. The process was pretty organized and easy to follow and prepare for.
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Bothell, WA) in Mar 2019
Interview
Applied through Campus
interview process:
1hr phone interview
-10 mins to go through resume
-20 mins for CTCI style questions: "check if string has unique characters"
-20 mins for Relational algebra + design a database for some company with given parameters
-10 mins for ending questions
ON-SITE:
1hr behavorial
2hrs for technical coding questions
1hr for lunch
2hrs for data engineer type questions

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate in Apr 2019
Interview
Started with a call from a recruiter which was fairly simple with basic questions about you and contained 2 behavioral questions. The recruiter also explained the remainder of the process which included a behavioral interview --> tech interview/case study --> in person with a presentation aspect.
From there I was invited to do the next step: a behavioral video interview. This is where the issues began. I was told to prepare for a behavioral interview using the STAR method but once I got on the Skype call, it was not a behavioral interview but rather a tech interview with coding questions. I was not prepared and did poorly on the algorithmic thinking. There was also a database-optimizing hypothetical case study.
Overall a poor experience with Allstate because of the disorganization.
