Informal/Rundown Office/Disorganized/Lack of Follow Through: I was contacted by the recruiter via text to come in for an interview. I was surprised at this informal approach but thought it must be "the modern thing" to do. I made it to their Portland office to find that they're located inside an old and rundown building without proper air conditioner (July/2017 with soaring temperatures), an out-of-order elevator and no receptionist. I found only a clipboard which prompted the visitor to state their business and, if interviewing, to state what role for. I signed in and sat down on a ledge next to boxes containing printers and other supplies. There was no seating area. I waited a couple of minutes before someone acknowledged me and was told someone would be with me shortly. After another couple of minutes, I was led to a small conference room where a Field Supervisor walked in and said he would be interviewing me. He started, very casually and informally, to ask questions when he was abruptly interrupted by the same person who had greeted me to tell him that I was not the candidate for the role he was interviewing for. The Field Supervisor left and a couple of minutes later I was greeted by the recruiter who took me to her office to conduct the interview. She apologized for the lack of AC and started the interview process. Questions were basic; mostly getting to know me, my experience and my ability to learn systems and my computer literacy. Interview flowed well, she seemed eager to move me forward on the process. She scheduled a meeting with the hiring manager for the next day. The next morning, I received a call from a person called Ashley, who left a voicemail stating the hiring manager was unavailable and that he would call me to meet as soon as possible. I called Ashley back and left her a voicemail confirming the meeting was cancelled but never heard back from her, the recruiter or the hiring manager. Needless to say, this has been one of the most disorganized and unprofessional companies I've interviewed with. In my 15+ years of professional experience, I've never encountered a situation like this. It's been almost 3 weeks and I never heard back from any of them. I would not recommend this company for their services or as an employer based on this experience.
