Bizarre experience from end to end.
I received a call from an extremely awkward HR representative at 4:45 pm on a Friday to schedule an interview. They did not ask me if it was a convenient time to talk (it wasn't) so I was stuck on a call for over 5 minutes that could have/should have been an email. It was not until the very end of the call that they indicated my interview would be in person.
Prior to the interview I received a number of forms to fill out. One was redundant of my resume and the other asked for a complete salary history, which I believe is illegal.
The interview itself was highly structured. The panel barely made eye contact with me as they were preoccupied taking notes and reading overly wordy, complex and structured questions. The panel was not able to provide much clarification to the questions they were asking.
A few red flags for me were that they expressed the role has no onboarding process and then questioned me how I would evaluate my performance at 3, 6 and 9 months into the role. Additionally, after fielding 10 highly structured questions I realized the panel never even asked me to introduce myself with an overview of my background or experience. I was so thoroughly exasperated after this interview experience that I could not bring myself to send thank you emails to the panel because I truly never wanted to engage with them again.
