I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Alfred University (Alfred, NY) in Nov 2018
Interview
Had to wait several weeks inbetween stages, which is normal. But for campus interview they told me I had to pay for the two flights to get there and back, and they would reimburse me. It took several follow up calls (they had "lost" the information) and nearly three months to get reimbursed. I was given inaccurate information. I asked class sizes, they said 12. There were actually a maximum of 2 students. I asked about P&T guidelines, they said what they were and then when I arrived there were none--I had to help write them. People were pleasant and warm during the process, which was overall enjoyable. I was warned by one of the committee to be careful because what seems like heaven is really hell. After I got there, that strange comment turned out to be somewhat true.

Interview
Well organized campus visit. Fairly rigorous. Two days. Research and teaching presentations, meetings with students faculty and administration. School is small, there are no department chairs, so offer comes from the Dean. People are nice. The place is very rural and lacking infrastructure.
