I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Alcoa in Oct 2009
Interview
This was an initial interview. The process was to just run through my resume/professional history. There was a chance for me to engage with questions and comments about the company. There was good follow up to the process. I was able to learn about the strategy for the function, some of the history of the hiring site, and about the recruiter's experience with the company.

Question 1
They were curious as to whether I would consider a position at another site - that surprised me.
Resume screening and then invitation to do a video submission to answer given questions. Followed up a month later with a form e-mail saying "we have reviewed and we regret...". Very frustrating. No feedback or transparency.

Interview
The interview was very professional and well-done. Asked very meaningful questions and appeared to genuinely care about me as a potential employee. They were very prompt in calling me after my application was submitted.
