I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Akamai (Cambridge, MA) in Dec 2014
Interview
Networking events on campus, sending in resume, onsite interview - behavioral and technical in one. Then waited a week or so until an offer was extended.
The interview was 1-1 although I heard others had different set ups. Met with the manager of the team that I would be working on.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a past project, some algorithm questions about string manipulation and hashing.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Akamai
Interview
The interview process with Akamai was disappointing. The technical panel didn’t maintain a professional tone, reacted poorly to common technical hiccups, and seemed more interested in testing memorization than evaluating engineering ability. Their behavior created an uncomfortable atmosphere and didn’t reflect the standards of a global company. This experience strongly influenced my decision to discontinue the process.
technical interview with good problem solving questions that need to be white boarded.
You will be talking to multiple team members. very good experience and a good way to know the culture and team
Every interview was super nice, and the overall experience was awesome. I was asked a few programming questions and previous projects. The programming questions were not hard, but you have to consider if your code really works.
