I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Airtame in Mar 2026
Interview
I went through a thorough interview process at Airtame that included a screening call with a recruiter, a call with the hiring manager, and a team interview with a PM, developer, and designer. I also completed a four-hour design challenge prepared in advance for the team interview.
What left a sour taste was the complete silence after the final interview — two weeks later, I received no feedback and no notification of any kind. This is especially surprising given that they were looking for someone to start as soon as possible — you would expect urgency on both sides of the process, including a prompt follow-up as the month was closing.
A simple "thank you, but we've moved forward with another candidate" would have gone a long way. Investing that amount of time and effort as a candidate — especially with a substantial design challenge — deserves a basic acknowledgment. I understand Airtame is a fast-moving startup, but that cannot be an excuse for basic professional courtesy. Being busy is not a reason to ghost candidates who have invested significant time in your process.
The role has since reappeared on LinkedIn, which says it all. Fortunately, I had another offer come through, so things worked out — but I would not go through this process again and will not be recommending Airtame to anyone in my professional network. Copenhagen's tech scene is a small world, and this kind of candidate experience is worth being aware of before you apply.
