I applied for a position in Montreal and the whole process was surprisingly quick and relatively painless. The recruiter, based out of Toronto, was very quick to respond to any of my questions, and made herself available through any means of communication. The actual in-person interview was also surprisingly quick, the hiring manager was nice and not intimidating in the least. They got back to me for a follow-up within a day, and was scheduled one immediately. I heard back from them on the results, also within a few business days of my final interview.
