      Project Mnaager Interview

      15 Jun 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Medford, MA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Agero (Medford, MA) in May 2017

      Interview

Phone screen with HR, phone screen with hiring manager, in person interview with individuals and as groups. Based on the process I'd say the company is either disorganized or doesn't listen to, or respect, employees. I went through the process and emailed the HR person after the in-person interview that I thought it went well and was eager my services. No reply for a week. Then a "Not a fit email". Okay. Then the next day he calls and says that may have been a mistake lets proceed to the next step (a presentation.) Okay. Weird. I tell him to email me the topic for the presentation so I can prepare and send a large amount of wide availabilities windows for scheduling. I never heard back by email what the topic/parameters were, but I was told none of the windows would work. Now, also, during this whole time I am told that because of my experience they may want to open up a more interesting position. All the time this is dangled but never explained except for the HR person saying they are trying to get more clarity on that. After a month of trying no clarity came. Again, they seem disorganized and disrespectful.

I agree, your experience is entirely unacceptable. The standard I set for the recruiting team is that for each step of the process, feedback or at minimum, expectations for next steps are provided within 48 hours of an interaction. This could mean " hey, no news, we need a few more days" or " hey, lets talk through feedback" but it should be taking place each and every time so you know where you stand. This is my baseline expectation for the recruiting team. In addition, my expectation is that from your first interaction with the recruiters they map out the process, what you can expect so you have the opportunity to seek clarity and prepare for activities such as a presentation. I would be happy to track down and share specific feedback and status if you are still interested - please email me at recruiting@agero.com. Thank you for taking the time to share feedback and providing the opportunity for my team to get better.
