I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Aflac
Interview
Don't fool yourself, they will hire anyone who can pass the insurance exam and is willing to work for no base/commission . They interview about 30 people a week in our office and have hired over 150 since Jan (but most don't stay). It's a great sales pitch they give you. But you may want to look at the average salaries posted on here. If you can live on 1000-2000 a month, go for it. BTW the insurance exam is not easy. They tell you at the interview that you can study and pass in 2 weeks. Most people take 3-4 weeks. New agents feed the machine. You can't look at the CIT's salaries to represent what you will make because they are given business by the DSC for compensation for training new sales agents.
If they contacted you, and you want to check them out, make sure to research to see if there is a office closer to your home because you will need to go to meetings or training 5 days a week.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Aflac (Jasper, TN) in Feb 2017
Interview
I only attended one interview. The interviews were supposed to be one on one with the Regional Sales Coordinator. He was so overbooked even arriving early I still had to wait an hour to be told that myself and the two remaining prospects would instead be interviewed as a group. That interview consisted of the regional sales coordinator explaining what services Aflac supplies and skewing the perception of the Healthcare industry to the two younger applicants. We were then told about all the money we would make but that we would have to work hard and work as a team. We were told we might be contacted for a second interview. I was contacted a few days later for a follow up one on one interview but after doing some additional research decided the business was not for me. I declined the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most questions asked during the session were general questions about if the applicant knew what Aflac did and did the applicant know anything about the insurance sales industry.

Interview
Interview process was easy and Regional Sales Coordinator was very nice and personable.
However, what you are told in the interview about your income potential and the timeline for that potential is very misleading. You are told that almost immediately you could start having a steady stream of income, when in reality it can take up to 5 years for that to happen.
