Interview process is lengthy and can take months.
First they have an informal round, which checks your interests and understanding of Adyen at high level. Its outcome depends on your motivation and your skill to explain it to the interviewer clearly if you are aligned to the culture it carries.
Then comes the harder part of technical case study. In fact, it is not hard but you are at interviewers' mercy. During preparation of test case study, you are informed and expected to know high level understanding of a particular product Adyen has developed. However, during discussion they expect you to know everything. They ask questions as if you have been there for 5 years already and they expect you be at the level they sound like (even when you tell them you have not worked in this industry before). If they like, they can break your flow of presentation by saying "that's it" and you wonder how about even appreciating efforts you have put in the presentation and understanding their product.
So, overall it looks like a gamble game, if you get a genuine interview panel who gives you time and understands your potential, you may survive. Else, they have already assumed you know nothing in all years you have worked (as you are not able to answer technical depth of their product)
Post discussion, you wait feedback and don't hear until a follow up is made.
So, if you get such interview panel, then best of luck!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explanation about one of their products, and related technical questions
starts with a check-in with recruiter, then fit interview with one team member, then technical interview with two team members, then offer. Process took 1 - 2 months. recruiter is well accessible.
Long interview process (5 or 6 rounds) ending with an interview with someone from the Board.
Interviewers are looking to assess the candidate potential fit with Adyen, but interviews are very conversational.
First interview with HR was pretty normal. The second interview was with a team member who looked like he didn't care at all. There were no technical questions, all questions were related to my experience so it was difficult to fail. After that, I received a rejection without even a technical interview.
This position is always open and it has been open for years, doesn't seem like they're hiring at all.
