3 interviews, 2 assessments, and weeks of my time, and they couldn’t send a rejection email without me chasing them down first.
When I finally followed up I got a copy-paste response that had clearly been sitting in a draft folder for weeks. What makes this especially rich is that this is the second time this company has done this to me. I knew better, the role looked good, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt anyway. That’s the last time I’ll make that mistake.
Here’s the part that actually made me laugh. After all of that, I started going through the reviews on here and realized getting ghosted was probably the best thing they could have done for me. The culture looks genuinely bad, women specifically and repeatedly call it out as a poor environment, and based on what I’ve read, the professionalism they showed during interviews is likely the ceiling at this company, not the baseline. Every interview felt like pulling teeth with their staff. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews before you put a single hour into this process. Some companies show you who they are during hiring if you know what to look for. Advantive just makes it obvious.
