Company's executive director contacted me by telephone to schedule an in-person interview. I believe I was one of eight candidates interviewed for the position. Even though several years have passed since the interview, what I most vividly recall is that there were several times during the interview when the executive director began to speak before I finished my sentence. He did most of the talking, and most of it was about himself. Even if the director was unaware of this tendency, it left me feeling a bit bullied, disrespected and uncomfortable. I do value and respect the mission and work of this organization, however, I sensed the director may be difficult to work with.
