I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Adelphi (Macclesfield, England) in Mar 2015
Interview
Applied online, with a CV and covering letter, and was also asked to answer a short essay question. Was invited to the interview day at fairly short notice, but luckily was in university holidays so not too much of an issue.
The first half of the day was quite relaxed and enjoyable - there was a short half hour presentation about the group, an opportunity for Q&A, and a short presentation task. Over lunch we met some of the current graduates.and had an opportunity to chat informally to them about their roles and their opinions of the company. The only negative thing about the morning was that there was always someone watching and taking notes; not obviously, but I definitely got the impression we were all being "continuously assessed" throughout the day. As long as you're aware of that, it's fine.
In the afternoon we were given short presentations about the different companies in the group. Although interesting, all of the companies overlap and so did the presentation material - I'm not sure if it was the best way to get our interest.
We also each had 2-3 one-on-one interviews in the afternoon. Again, there was a lot of repetition with questions and topic areas, and it was hard to stay enthusiastic about the question "Why do you want to work at Adelphi ______?" after the third time.
Overall, it was an okay day, but not one of the most interesting or exciting I've been on.
