The hiring manager reached out to me just a day or two after submitting my application, and I was easily able to schedule an interview.
The first round was only 30 min with the manager and they didn't ask any difficult questions. The only thing I found strange was that at the end, they said that they couldn't discuss anything related to compensation. I'm the type of person who likes to get that convo out of the way in the first interview so we aren't wasting each other's time if expectations aren't aligned. Apparently the recruiter is supposed to handle that, but I didn't receive any follow up after my interview took place (even though I was promised I would receive an email within the next couple of business days).
Just kind of a poor candidate experience to be ghosted after speaking with the manager, especially surprising since this role was under Recruiting. You would think that anyone from that team would practice what they preach and try to give the best experience possible to their candidates.
