Given the large number of applications we receive for each role, we have implemented a short 10 to 15-minute phone screening to evaluate whether they meet the criteria for the position before progressing to formal interviews and skills assessments.
The phone screening is designed to be a quick, focused conversation rather than a formal interview. The main objective is to verify each candidate’s profile information, allowing our Talent Acquisition team to decide whether to recommend the candidate for a formal interview with the hiring manager. Given its purpose, the conversation may appear to be focused on information gathering rather than a typical two-way dialogue.
We believe this process benefits both the candidates and us, as it allows us to progress only those candidates who are a strong match for our requirements to the interview stage. This approach ensures we respect the time of candidates who may not be the best fit to advance further.
