      Senior Director, Total Rewards Interview

      8 Mar 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Achievement First in Mar 2023

      Interview

Strap in because this one is a doozy, and this is coming from someone who has never written a Glassdoor review before and has worked in HR/People Ops/Recruiting for over a decade: Jan 19: Apply for Job Jan 23: Phone Screen (during which time, I confirm that this role is remote, which it's listed in the job description as such, and that moving from my current market to another one would not be an issue. I'm told it's not, as the role is remote) Feb 1: Am told I'll hear next steps by 02/06 Feb 3: I'm told to complete a 90 minute project assessment to complete and send by 02/10 Feb 9: I submit and am told I'd hear back by 02/15 Feb 17: Am told that finalist interviews need to be pushed back and that I'd hear back by end of next week, 02/24 Feb 28: First response back from AF, am told they liked my assessment and want to schedule a final round Mar 2: Interview scheduled for 03/08 Mar 8: I notice that all of AF's job roles are currently listed as hybrid or on site on LinkedIn. I email the recruiter to confirm this role is still remote. I'm told it's remote/hybrid (which isn't a thing. it's either remote OR hybrid) and they asked if that was okay with me. They totally didn't remember what I said regarding remote work when we first spoke. They didn't think over the course of 7 weeks to update me that the role can't be fully remote anymore, and informed me (only because I asked mind you) FIVE minutes before the final interview that they were cancelling and withdrawing my application. Utter lack of accountability and communication and seven weeks of my time were wasted.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The basic screening questions but don't expect them to remember them and/or keep you updated on the role changing.
