      Telephonic Social Worker Interview

      25 Jul 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Raleigh, NC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AccessCare (Raleigh, NC) in Jul 2016

      Interview

I applied online and was contacted immediately by email to set up an appointment time to talk by phone. I was told I answered the questions correct and she would be calling me to set up an in person interview. In this same week, I was later contacted via email to say they were going in the direction of more qualified candidates that matched the job description. I had a problem with this email because the job stated: BSW's with no experience & to supply a cover letter. CV letters speak of your experience so if I wasn't what this company was looking for then I should have never been contacted in the first place. Still, to tell someone over the phone that you liked their answers & will be contacting them to set up another interview does not speak very professional of the person doing the interviewing. I would never make the mistake to get someone hopes up by telling them I will be calling them to only later come up with a lie. The job description even said "no experience" required. If no experience is required, I would assume that people whom applied all should have had the opportunities to work in this position. There's nothing hard about talking on the phone and to imply that you needed workers who background matched should have been listed in the job descriptions instead of saying no experience and only BSW with no experience need apply. Also, the interviewer stated that there would be a script to follow at work so with such easy duties, I do not believe that this job needed experienced workers nor do I believe the interviewer believes this as well. In the future I would recommend to this person to get more familiar with what to say during an interview and to state in your advertisements the job requirements. If you want experienced workers than please specify it unlike your advertisement.
