They gave off really strange vibes. I applied online and got an email for an in-person interview and they gave me a date and time. I emailed them back that I accepted that date and time. Never got an email confirmation back. On the day of the interview, I sent them another email confirming my interview in case they forgot (since I never got a reply to my first email). Once I arrive there (10 minutes early), I tell a nearby associate what I'm there for, and they said that the managers are in a "meeting" and for me to wait. That already sounded suspicious to me because who suddenly has a "meeting" when they know a potential hiree is coming to interview? Long story short, I ended up waiting for 40 MINUTES past my initial interview time. I asked what was going on to the same associate and he went to the back to check up on them. Suddenly, he comes back out with a clipboard and says that he is one of the assistant managers and that he can interview me. Well, why didn't you do it right away instead of wasting my time? I ended up interviewing with him outside of the store; in the middle of the mall where, you know, it's noisy and crowded. I wasn't impressed by this at all. After all that, he said I was going to get an email with background check information and next steps (which I never received),
The next day, they called me, but they quickly hung up before I answered and never left a voicemail or called back. That's when I thought, "Okay, this is a big no." Extremely unprofessional, rude, and their communication skills are non-existent. In the end, I got a rejection email today, but that's fine because I dodged a bullet.
From a customer's perspective, this store is just so strange. Associates avoid you; the people seem antisocial; no one greets you; associates run away and hide if you come up to them-it's just so awkward and strange.
