It was pre-economic downturn, so the hiring process was pretty simple. Just came prepared to respond to market trends and market leaders.
During my time at A&F I was told to interview candidates, but not to hire anyone, just to extract design ideas and concepts. I felt this was very unethical, but was required to do it by management.
