I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (London, England) in Jan 2015
Interview
Group interview which are renowned for running 5 minutes late in order to observe how the candidates interact with each other - so make sure you do! They then took headshots of each candidate - they're also looking for big smiles here. Its a very informal feel (with interviewers usually sat on tables etc) and they will go round the room and ask everyone to introduce themselves and usually tell the group a 'fun fact' or 'something unique about you'. They conduct the interview in this manner (going round the room) and then will frequently take you out to the shop floor to show you what you'd be doing and meet more of the associates that work there. This is also the same procedure for Hollister and seems to be standard across different branches in Europe (worked for both brands in Spain and UK for several years).
I applied online. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Seattle, WA)
Interview
The interview process was one on one with a manager. The interview was chill and easy, mostly because the person who interviewed me was very nice and friendly. Thus, I could talk more freely and show my personality. I got a call about a week later getting the job!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2022
Interview
There are group interviews for cast members with store management and one-on-one interviews for management positions with the district manager. The process is just using regular retail questions, i.e. about your customer service, how you would problem solve, and sometimes they ask about your hobbies.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If one cut of jeans does not suit my style, what would you do for me as the customer?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch in Oct 2020
Interview
The interview process was simple. If they like your fashion sense you'll easily get in, also if you're pretty. Make sure to know your styles and its a major plus if you plan on going into the fashion industry.
