I would like to take a moment to highlight some important information regarding a role I recently interviewed for - the HR Director position for the CALA (Vascular) division in Santa Clara, CA. While the interviewers and the actual interview itself were average, I do want to address some significant concerns that HR professionals should be aware of before applying. Firstly, this specific position has been open since December 2022. Additionally, the recruiter is located in SoCal. Unfortunately, there has been very little sense of urgency and minimal follow-up communication regarding timing and updates, which was quite disappointing. Also, this company is known to prefer internal candidates which could be a reason why the position has been open for 8 months. Overall, the sense of urgency, lack of follow up, and funneling of candidates is concerning and an indication of the type of leadership you'd be working for.
