The interview process is a very extensive ordeal , HR protocol at ABBOTT feels like a machine. You will receive an email stating you've been selected to participate in a video interview. . The video interview program will prompt generic interview questions and record you answering them. If you "pass" that the next step is speaking with the manager on the phone, then an in person interview with manager and one other person. Final interview is a panel interview and sales simulation. You will be given a scenario and then have to put together a powerpoint presentation answering questions. You then have to present that to a panel of employees (i.e. manager, regional Director & sales reps). It is time consuming to prepare the presentation, but if you're an experienced sales rep, it should be no problem for you to easily answer the questions. I have to say, people are very bitter and negative in this division and it shows with the way they talk about the job and how "challenging and impossible' it is , as though they are the only reps who have ever run into difficulty in a sales cycle. I was very very put off by the attitudes of the sales reps and how much they seemed to hate their job and their leadership. I was very happy to accept a position with another company before I ever heard back (either way) from them.
