The principal started the interview by talking about the benefits that came with the job. The pay seemed very low for the job she was describing. When I asked about diversity (I only saw white women working there) and any justice work the school does, she gave bad answers. She said that "we are not a progressive school" and that after the election she stopped children from expressing themselves about the topic in art class because she did not want to have that discussion. She also continued to say that they had diversity but did not at all say how. She could tell I did not like her answers and proceeded to ask where else I was applying and tried to tell me about the other schools. It was all very off-putting and when she offered me the job, I declined.
