The company eagerly approached me with an opportunity for their client in my field of work. Initial interaction was ok, but then they began repeatedly calling on my phone with no intimation before. I advised them that they should be cognizant of people's schedule and set up dedicated slots to connect. Essentially this alludes to their despair to pitch in a candidate for an interview. I asked them about the JD or role details and the only context I got was 2 keywords from my job area. With little context they pushed for a mammoth 2 hour call with their client, informing they are in an urgent need and that we'll need to meet the plan. I was not full force into this idea, but they talked me into it. Anyways I have the client discussion and I'm in a situation where all people except the hiring manager who were asking questions were lesser in experience than me. I came to know they seem to be looking for someone more junior in the role, less than half my work exp. Further, I could easily sense they are confused in what they want in a candidate and some of their questions didn't make full sense. They also had a junior resource who started sharing screen and asking where to click in an application for one full hour, which was a total waste of time. I come out of the interview exhausted with Atyeti following up with another call. Later that evening itself I made up my mind that something was wrong here and I felt this might not be the right position for me. Then suddenly the company stopped providing any feedback or updates from the interview which enforced the fact that I cannot be joining such an organization that ghosts candidates with zero notice. I informed them I won't be proceeding with the role, irrespective of the client feedback. This them led to them coming back and informing they won't be moving forward. In the end, I was happy I got saved from ruining my career by taking a junior position. However, the overall experience from the hiring process followed was abysmal to say the least. Would strongly recommend to steer clear of this firm as they are not aware how to professionally conduct the recruitment process.
