I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ASOS in Mar 2023
Interview
The interview what 3 parts 1) initial call 2) 30 minute interview 3) 1 hour technical interview.
Seeing as it was a new role they really didn’t prepare me enough for the interview and what was to come. But the interviewer was really nice and delved heavily in my experience and the relativity of my experience to the role. The part that threw me off was when they surprisingly showed me SQL script and asked me to let them know what was wrong with it in the interview. The interview was fairly standard the manual SQL scripting threw me off.

Question 1
Talk to me about your experience working in a team and importance of including peoples skills?
Hi and thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It's great to hear that you enjoyed meeting members of our team, we're sorry to hear that the SQL scripting part of the interview threw you off. This is a standard part of our interview process and just helps test your ability and see where we can best fit you in the team. We've taken your feedback on board and relayed this to the team who'll make sure anyone who interviews in future is prepped.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ASOS (London, England) in Aug 2016
Interview
Initial phone interview with manager, then face to face interview with manager and head of dept. Both interviews were quite relaxed, and the questions were fairly straightforward and not designed to catch you out. Questions were mostly around competencies and the skills I use in my current role and how they can be applied to this role. Also some questions about my current managers, to determine whether I was used to working autonomously or not. Face to face interview included a SQL test (on paper not on a PC).
Applied for a senior role but was offered a junior role, which better fits my skill set.
