Phone screen. The recruiter kept rescheduling it, so it was 3 weeks until I spoke to her. It was very bizarre and she was weird. Kept pausing too long before speaking. Felt like a waste of time honestly. The hiring manager only talked about how great he is and was not serious in the interview. Probably because I was the wrong gender and color. The CHRO was very dismissive and flippant imo. Not a great experience. I had all of the qualifications listed in the job posting but like I said, wrong gender and color so I saw the looks I received when I showed up for the interview. I guess they didn’t feel the need to take me seriously because they knew they wouldn’t hire me. So I don’t take them seriously either. Receptionist said “it’s like a family” code phrase for toxic. No thanks, I already have a family and don’t need another toxic workplace.
The interview took several weeks to schedule, and I emailed the recruiter to offer to schedule earlier. That email went unackowledged and unanswered. On the day of the interview, the recruiter called half an hour before the scheduled time. Once the phone interview started, the interaction was bizarre. In an effort to make it conversational, it was informal and not in a positive way.
