I applied for the role and a week later got an email from the Manager of the property. We spoke about the role and the 3 properties I would be working at. She was very personable and easy to talk to. It was almost like talking to an old friend. At the end of the conversation she told me that she would be sending me an assessment to do over email. It was a scenario of a person looking for an apartment with certain specs. 1st floor, no less than 750 sq. feet and available before the end of February. They included the link to the website and told me to respond to the customer as if I were a leasing agent. I turned the assessment in and had an interview scheduled for two days out. The interview was very easy. It was the girl I spoke to on the phone and a Multi-Site Community Manager who had been there for 15 years. They had a copy of may resume with them. I had no real prior sales experience outside of cold calling years ago, but lots of other relevant skills. I asked a lot of questions such as what made the Community Manager stay with AMLI for 15 years and in so many words, he said it was because AMLI takes really good care of him, which is what I was hoping to hear. After the interview, I was given a tour of the property and one of the units. It was beautiful. After, we went back to the office and the interview was over. I didn't end up getting the job, but I was so impressed with AMLI that I went back and applied for another role. I asked the Leasing Manager if I could use her as a reference and she said I could and that she would call the hiring manager personally. I feel like this is a great company to work for.
